Coastal Construction will expand into Central and North Florida with Orlando office

Miami-based Coastal Construction Group, one of the Southeast’s leading privately held construction companies, will open a Central Florida office in Orlando led by Sean DeMartino as president of the company’s new Central and North Florida division.

DeMartino has worked for more than 30 years in construction, and most recently served as division president for Balfour Beatty Florida, according to a news release. He has headed commercial projects in sectors including hospitality, entertainment, corporate office, mixed use, multifamily, aviation and government.

Coastal Construction was No. 3 on the Business Journal‘s list of South Florida’s general contractors, with $702.22 million in gross billings.

According to the release, DeMartino’s notable projects include Sapphire Falls Resort at Universal Orlando, the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Orlando, FIU Student Academic Success Center, The Windsor at Celebration Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living Center, and the Jacksonville Aviation Authority expansion hangar at Cecil Field and hold baggage System at Jacksonville International Airport.

He is co-chairman of the Orlando Economic Partnership and past chairman of the Central Florida Transportation Task Force. He serves on the board of Heart of Florida United Way.
